Tonight: "Granted" Movie Fundraiser at DBGB's

Alright Buffalo, the sun is out, the weather is beautiful and were heading full steam in to summer.  It's time to get out of our houses and do some good and what better way to do that than support a local independent film.  The gentlemen in the movie making group Ma's Meatloaf are holding a fund raising happy hour tonight at DBGB's.  The "Loaf," is made up of Jacob Albarella(actor/writer), Anthony Vescio(producer/director), Evan Pease(editor/cinematographer), Craig Gusman(Writer) and Brian Bernys(actor).  These hardworking movie lovers have been putting films together for the past few years and have taken home multiple awards at Buffalo's 48 hour film competition.  Their amazing work can be viewed here.  

For this fundraiser, they will be promoting their newest project entitled "Granted."  "Granted," follows the events of a musician stricken with writer's block, who falls to temptation and must deal with the consequences.  


Movie making does not come cheap, and when you put the effort in that these folks do, support of all kind is greatly appreciated.  Tonights fundraiser is free to all who want to come and support local art.  If you wish to really make a difference in our local independent scene, a donation of $30 gets you open bar, a buffet of food and live entertainment delivered by local band Voices, who also appear in the film.

Tonights event is from 6:00pm to 10:00pm at DBGB's at 253 Allen St.  Again, free for all, and for a small donation of $30 gets you open bar and food as well as the chance to really help out some hard working individuals.  You can also sign up to be an extra in the movie!
