The week between Christmas and New Years always seems to be kind of slow. Everyone is recovering from the onslaught of family, gifts, and eating on both Christmas Eve and Day while trying to rest up for the always hectic New Years Eve festivities. Luckily, Badmilk, a local garage jazz outfit who we caught a couple times this summer as a part of the Infringement Festival and the Bidwell Indie 5000, have been nice enough to release a free album titled Sad Faces The Alligator Dies, on their bandcamp page to keep us busy. The band has fleshed out a bit since we last heard from them. Check out the opening track, "Souls", a pleasantly laid back tune fronted by Brendan McCarthey's equally pleasant yelp.
