Just over a year ago, one of my favorite albums of 2010, Local Natives' debut Gorilla Manor, was released.  Their soaring three part harmonies, open armed melodies, and subtle world beats were a perfect remedy for getting over a Buffalo winter that never seems to want to end.  Their cover of my personal favorite Simon and Garfunkel tune "Cecilia" is a great choice.  Like Local Natives, Simon and Garfunkel know a thing or two about great harmonies, and "Cecilia" marked one of Paul Simon's first tries at incorporating the world beats that would go on to take a huge part in his solo work, especially on his Graceland LP.  The video shows Local Natives covering the duo's song in the Gorilla Manor courtyard, right outside of where they recorded their album.  Enjoy.
