New Common: "Summer Madness" + new project details

About a month after Fox News' ridiculous criticism of Common, the conscious rapper has appeared on a new track called "Summer Madness," available here (via Nah Right). Apparently, he's now part of a collective called "Cocaine 80s" along with No I.D. (who produced "Summer Madness") and many others. True to its title, the song is a laid-back summer jam, and No I.D.'s beat bounces with easy-going jazz keyboards, a smooth bassline, and a wandering distorted guitar riff - it sounds almost like a controlled improvisation. The producer continues to make a name for himself in the hip-hop world, after collaborations with Twista and Raekwon (on the excellent "The Heat" ) and Jay-Z ("D.O.A.").
