One of the bands that we are most excited to see at Camp Bisco coming up in a few weeks is definitely Cut Copy. The Toronto show we had the pleasure of seeing a few months ago was superb and has keep this Australian electropop quartet on our radar in a big way. Their most recent release, Zonoscope, contains many winning tracks, but the opening one, "Need You Now," is especially ear-catching and sets the tone for the rest of the record. The music video for said song...basically makes no sense whatsoever - - at first. It's a jumble of athletes with mismatched equipment battling through a bizarre landscape for reasons unclear. By the end however, the themes of determination and perseverance in the name of love shine through. This video is evidence that Cut Copy is a band that makes seriously good music, without taking themselves too seriously at all.
