Tonight: Creedence Clearwater Revisited

The Artpark Tuesday in the Park series continues to provide more free music this week with Creedence Clearwater Revisited, a band formed by the former Creedence Clearwater Revival rhythm section - bassist Stu Cook and drummer Doug Clifford. Though they don't play with legendary CCR songwriter and frontman John Fogerty any longer, Revisited's set stays true to the old band's music, and reviews of their shows (including the one last year at Artpark) have been positive. In this humble blogger's opinion, CCR is the best southern rock group of all time (no offense to fans of Lynyrd Skynyrd or the Allman Brothers), and songs like "Green River" and "Bad Moon Rising" are perfect for summertime relaxation - quite appropriate for the longest day of the year. Bruce Wojick will be opening, and the show starts at 6:30 p.m.
