Old time string band, Carolina Chocolate Drops, will be making a stop at Asbury Hall tonight in route to the Finger Lakes Grass Roots Festival this weekend. The North Carolina based quartet are known for sharing vocal duties & trading instruments onstage including banjos, fiddles, kazoos, harmonicas & jugs. Aside from their original songs which are steeped in traditional blue ridge mountain folk, the band also performs excellent covers of modern day hip-hop and R&B tunes like Blu Cantrell's "Hit em Up Style". The group has performed at last years Bonnaroo & at this years Dave Mathews Band Caravan in New Jersey. Tickets are 18 bucks and doors open at 7pm.
