What a pleasant surprise we have on our hands! Our favorite indie psych pop band The birD day have been hard at work all summer putting the finishing touches on their new album, titled Fed Odd. During the recording process, they teased us with the releases of a couple great singles, including the title track and "Chain Gang". Well, the wait is now over, as the band very sneakily put up the complete Fed Odd album up on their band camp page this morning for immediate streaming and downloading. Fans of Passion Pit, Neon Indian, Yeasayer, and even the Flaming Lips will certainly want to check out the new release, but really, for the cost of only $5, it's worth every penny for one of our great local bands. And since the band has decided to move out west to Portland in the next month or so, we can't really call them local for much longer!
