12pm-5pm: buffaBLOG Party at the Broadway Market
In case you haven't seen the other 50 posts about it, we're throwing a big bash on the roof of the Broadway Market from 12-5 today (rain or shine - if it rains, it'll be inside). Enjoy sets from the birD day, the Bloodthirsty Vegans, Sea Snake Vs., Bill Times a Billion, and Ronaldraygun! all day long, for free (but make sure you bring some cash to donate to the bands, who are volunteering). I've been told that drinks are allowed. And it starts in a half hour! So get off your computer and go right now.
2pm: Sean McGill Poetry Reading
At Sweetness 7 Cafe, go see our very own Sean McGill perform some original poetry. Calling himself the "Manager of the Backdoor Speakeasy," this should be a great way to grab a cup and recharge in between all of the music going on. His poetry can be viewed at http://www.backdoorspeakeasy.com/ - pretty cool stuff, give it a read.
8pm: Lazy Ass Destroyer
There's a party going on at 286 Plymouth, and Cincinnati party rapper Lazy Ass Destroyer will be closing out the ceremonies. You don't want to miss this guy - I caught his set at Nietzsche's last Saturday, and he had the crowd moving with his Beastie-Boy-like style. He employs his own beats and combines them with a guitar player that is featured on stage with him. Definitely worth checking out.
