Tonight, Mohawk acts a bit out of character and hosts a hardcore punk show (detecting any sarcasm?). The Old Firm Casuals are a hardcore outfit put together by Rancid's Lars Frederiksen, featuring the rhythm sections for the band Never Healed. In a similar vein to Keith Morris' new band OFF! (but with out the edge), this most recent side project of Frederiksen's is an attempt to relocate the glory and simplicity of vintage punk rock. The band just put out their first 7" a short time ago, and no doubt, will play the entire thing, among other songs (as they will have to fill a set). Opening up will Wolf, and local punkers the Chosen Ones. Tickets are only $10. Doors open at 7pm, show begins at 8pm.
