Buffalo Bills Preview: The Songs of the Bills

Here we are again, the start of another Buffalo Bills NFL season.  This franchise has put Buffalo through more than they could ever imagine.  We has always been a drinking town with a football problem(even though I truly believe we are a hockey town now but anyways.)  Fans of the Bills have endured four straight Super Bowls without a single loss, a miserable feat that one could only joke about happening, but sadly this is our reality.   Now, I was quite young to really understand how awful those four years must have been, but I was old enough to see what it meant to my parents and the other people in the room watching the games.  When the Bills were at their best in the early 90's, you couldn't walk down the street without someone asking you about the previous game or simply shouting "GO BILLS," or so I am told.

My history with the Bills is now watching them miss the playoffs for eleven consecutive years, a league leading draught.  I have watched them draft miserable players year after year, and go through more coaches and quarterbacks than any team should, and who could forget the "Music City Miracle."  Still, year after year, Buffalo Bills fans rally together and cheer for their favorite football team, despite the lack of wins and missed post seasons.  Why you ask? Honestly, I do not have an answer, so maybe I can at least get you pumped for the upcoming season with a list of songs that can only scream GO BILLS!

To start, it is only fitting to have the Bills Shout Song, the most iconic and memorable part of a Bills game. When the Bills score, there is only one thing to do.  Next up who could forget the interesting rap, "Mayhem Maybin," about ex-Bill Aaron Maybin.  The best line of the song, heard here, would have to be about Maybin's quarterback craving, yet he never actually made it to the quarterback.  Keeping the rap theme going, number thirteen Steve Johnson is also known for his free styling and rapping abilities.  This man may possibly save the team if he keeps up his talent, so he can rap about whatever he likes.   Last but not least, Buffalo's own Tom Sartori wrote a beautiful ballad about Buffalo and the Bills.  Great lyrics over the music of Lynyrd Skynyrd.  So, tomorrow when you wake up to cheer on the Bills, have a positive outlook for this season, because really they can only go up from here.
