Mike Patton Set to Release "The Solitude of Prime Numbers"

It was announced last week that ex / current Faith No More frontman (yes they are still together this time) Mike Patton will be releasing Music From the Film and Inspired By the Book The Solitude of Prime Numbers; an album featuring his score from the 2010 Italian film blended into a cohesive album. The book is the story of two ostracized Italian teenagers who, like prime numbers, are isolated but are united by their unique loneliness. The two are separated by life, but after reuniting years after growing up, they see that not much has changed. Written after his performing with his Mondo Cane project alogside Italian cinema composer / Danger Mouse's cohort for his Rome project, Danielle Luppi, Patton applied a combination of all of musical background when creating this album, and the music contains bits and pieces of all Patton's projects. With this album, Patton has created a seamless and cohesive score, and has labeled it a "sonic departure" for him; not a surprise considering the way Patton's music which always include abrupt changes and defy musical expectations (especially Fantomas, the project that caused Patton to start Ipecac Records). The album will be released on Patton's Ipecac label on 11-1-11, and will contain 16 tracks numbered as the first 16 prime numbers. The tracks are listed below, and it is practically impossible to any of the audio before the album comes out, there is a trailer for the film below, and Patton fans will notice his unmistakable sound in the first half of the trailer.
