Tonight W.A.M. Buffalo (Writers/Artists/Musicians) and the Coalition for Economic Justice join forces to put on this month's W.A.M event, entitled "Rock The Vote". It is a night dedicated to politically themed art and poetry, no doubt inspired by the We Are The Other 99 protests being held on Wall St. The featured musical act this month is singer/songwriter Chris Milam, and the night will feature art and spoken word from the likes of painter Chuck Tingley, activist Susan Marie, Sam Sacco, Sarah Bishop, Brooke Reynolds, and many many more. Unfortunately, there will be no open mic this month due to time constraints, but it will definitely nonetheless be a showcase of some of Buffalo's best local artists, and a great way to show support for those protesting New York City. The events starts at 7pm and runs until 10pm, and is being held this time at the Vault (702 Main St.) instead of its usual venue the Eights. Slam Poetry ensemble Ten Thousand will be going on at 8pm, and headliner Chris Milam's performance is slated for 9pm. There will be drinks, and as always, this event is FREE to the public.
