Picking Up the Slack for MTV: Youth Lagoon

This week's featured video comes from lo-fi indie outfit Youth Lagoon.  The solo project of Idaho born Trevor Powers, Youth Lagoon's debut album, The Year of Hibernation, is a collection of hazy, heart breaking dream pop.  The album's stand out track, the building, triumphant "Montana" was recently set to video, following a man haunted by his childhood, in particular, the death of his father at war.  Evoking both nostalgia(sand lot baseball, army men) and heart ache, the man is constantly reminded of the loss of his father until he is faced with his only option:  letting go.  The color washed filter of the video only adds to the dream like state of the video.  Enjoy
