Tonight: Shenandoah Davis

Tonight the Vault plays host to classical meets contemporary pianist / songwriter Shenandoah Davis, and her two cohorts for this tour, Danah Olivetree and Ethan Demarest. A self-releasing and critically acclaimed artist, Davis recently released her newest album, The Company We Keep, with her own money and contributions from fans. Incredibly beautiful and poetic, the release is an assertion that our experiences with people form our opinions of them, and that no one will ever look at the same person in the same way. Her occasionally ragtime and cabaret inspired melodies are perfectly complimented by her classical voice, and the beautiful imagery her music creates passionately evokes an emotional response from her audience. She has played alongside the Seattle Rock Orchestra, as well as numerous amounts of classically trained musicians, but on this tour is just accompanied by Olivetree, a cellist, and multi-instrumentalist Demarest. Opening up the show will be artfully instrumental swirldivetwirl and Sound Sound Shaman. The show starts at 8pm, and will cost you a meager $5 at the door to support the venue and the artists.
