Abraham Orellana aka “araabMUZIK” comes to Buffalo to showcase his talents as a producer and live performer of Hip-Hop and Electronica. He made a name for himself under the Dipset label. And for the signature use of the Akai Music Production Center (MPC) Drum Machine; turning the instrument into an instrument he grew in popularity because of his live performances and internet videos. Citing influences as a producer from Dr. Dre and Swizz Beatz, AraabMUZIK has worked on tracks for The Diplomats, Cam’ron & Vado, Hell Rell, Jadakiss, Fabolous and Busta Rhymes. What sets AraabMUSIK apart from other Hip-Hop producers is his use of Electronica and Trance samples overladen with cut-time drum and high-hat loops making for an epic sound. Most definitely displayed on his first full-length album Electronic Dream. It sounds like the sunrise on an endless highway with your foot on the gas, circling under skyscrapers. The clock reading 530am. AraabMUSIK is putting to death the phrase “drum machines have no soul.” Also on the bill is Flatbush artist MeLo-X noted for his remix of Maxwell’s BLACKsummers'night along with Buffalo Electronica producer TechNoddo. Old school bass in the place at Duke’s on Saturday as the UK invasion is on. Their only U.S. tour stop in North America, Shabba D will MC with DJ Sicknote. Shabba is truly one of the veterans of the scene, coming up during the UK dance revolution of the early 90s. He has been going hard captivating rave and party audiences for upwards of 15 years! Critics of his style often oversee the performance energy he brings to any gig. His set slated on Saturday night over Sicknote will be a classic juglist’s dream. also featured will be DJ Kre and Berretta, MC’d by La from Toronto.
