Uncovered Cover: Panic! at the Disco's "This is Halloween"

It's officially November and it's officially cold.  People everywhere are beginning the countdown to the very last second before they have to turn the heat on and take on the massive heating bill that comes with it.  This week though appears that we might be getting somewhat of an Indian Summer, so we can at least embrace this as long as possible.

Anywho, last weekend was what I would call another very successful Halloween weekend.  One of my favorite weekends of the year to party and did it properly at Hallowasted as a bunch ofs Barack Obamas.  In the theme of Halloween, my favorite thing to do is put on of my all time most loved movies, The Nightmare Before Christmas.  I have loved this movie since the very first time I put the VHS in to the this very day.  A pure classic and one of Tim Burtons best work to date.  My favorite song from the large catalogue of songs written and performed by Danny Elfman is "This is Halloween."  The song is used in the movie to introduce the Town of Halloween with all the towns people introducing themselves.

I have only heard two covers of this song, one of which a Marilyn Manson effort, which is a bit heavy, but terrible.  The other being tonight's Town Ballroom performers, Panic! at the Disco.  Panics! version is much more down tempo than Manson's but really gets the job done and they really put their all in to it with the voices.  Halloween may be over so say goodbye one last time and get ready to freeze your asses off for the next six months.
