buffaBLOG's 12 days of Christmas: Day 5 - A Rural Alberta Christmas

If I can be honest, I know it's considered a Christmas classic and all... But I've never been a fan of "The Little Drummer Boy". It's so slow and it's got such a boring melody. I've never been much of a fan of Christmas music in general, but that song was the go to for me to express my disdain/anger towards it. In comes Rural Alberta Advantage, one of my favorite bands, with a live cover of said hated song. I'm glad to say that it's completely changed my opinion. Adapted to fit their sound, it's a mid-tempo and powerful folk-rock take on it. That melody has never sounded better to me than in the hands of Nils Edenloff, his booming voice breeds new life into it. It's a Christmas miracle everyone! Happy Holidays!
