Those rumors about something big being announced today sure were true. Looks like M83, the electronic dream pop outfit led by French front man Anthony Gonzalez, will be heading to Buffalo on May 7th with a stop at Town Ballroom. Lets rewind for a second and say this again: M83 is coming to Buffalo! I can't think of the last time I have been so excited for a concert in this city. Buffalo just doesn't get acts like this all that often so this could be one of those shows people treat as an event. Kudos to everyone involved with Supernaut Booking and Funtime for landing this show.
M83's latest, the MASSIVE, EPIC double album Hurry Up, We're Dreaming, is topping many of the best of 2011 lists already and I know a few of us at the blog, esspecially my buffaBLOG Radio co-host Chris, have been swooning over it all fall. You can currently purchase tickets on M83's website for $25, or $30 after fees and such. Look for Town Ballroom to go onsale with tickets Friday at noon.
