Hurricane Bells started out as a side project for Longwave frontman Steven Schiltz. But before he was able to release his first album, Hurricane Bells got a wash of attention. Why, you ask? Because the track “Monsters” was included on the platinum-selling soundtrack for the second Twilight movie, New Moon. As a result, Schiltz spent much of 2010 touring behind his debut Tonight is the Ghost. Tonight, Hurricane Bells will be at Mohawk Place playing tracks off the new album, Tides and Tales.
Canadian indie-rockers Wildlife are also on the bill tonight. If you’re the sort that engages in musical piracy, you might have accidentally acquired a few of their tracks – apparently some early leaks of the Arcade Fire’s The Suburbs had a few tunes replaced with Wildlife songs.
Get there early, and you can catch Rochester's The Demos. The show starts at 8pm.
