Tonight Buffalo's D.I.Y. monthly dance party, PPL Saloon, hits the Elmwood lounge for its last party of 2011. PPL Saloon allows party goers to submit 15 minute playlists, and the DJ mixes them together for an off-the-chain dance mix. The monthly DJ is Projex, who not only mixes the playlists for party goers, but also creates an improv A/V and lighting installation at each event. This interactive dance party is a breath of fresh air, and replaces the void that was left in the dissemination of the Communist Party all over Allentown. Unfortunately, it is now too late to submit a 15 minute playlist for this party, but there's always next month (or next year in this case). The party gets hopping at 9pm, runs late, and is FREE.
