With new bands popping up seemingly on a weekly basis here in Buffalo, one that has caught our attention of late is the four piece outfit Dirty Smile.  Comprised of Gus Walters on acoustic guitar and vocals, Megan Brown on vocals, Dan Helbling on electric guitar, and Adam Smith on percussion, the group has been busy at work on their as of yet untitled debut EP.  The group hopes to release the EP as well as begin playing shows in the late spring or early summer of 2012.  Their first single, "Taste You Breathe, which according to the band was "written on an acoustic guitar between huffing cigarettes and consuming large quantities of Guinness", begins with a catchy acoustic melody that slowly morphs into a smoky blues number as Walters and Brown's vocals weave together while Smith's steady drumming guides the beat.  Give the track a listen and keep you eyes on the blog for future Dirty Smile news.
