tUnE-yArDs has to be one of the most interesting acts to come along in the last few years, not to mention one of the biggest pains in the ass to type.  Led by performer Merill Garbus, tUnE-yArDs blends folk, rock, African rhythms, and funk, along with Garbus' unusual vocal styling into a fascinating blend.  Chuck Kolsterman of Grantland wrote a great piece on Garbus a little while back, which dissected her place and future in the current indie music lexicon.  Garbus will bring her act to Town Ballroom on Wednesday, June 13th in order to continue to support her excellent 2011 album w h o k i l l.  Tickets can currently be purchased for $20 on her website and through the Town Ballroom on Friday, Feb 24th at noon.  Listen to the awesome "Gangsta" below in order to keep busy while we wait for June.
