This weekend, our amazing, prolific, world-changing, humble little blog will be turning two years old. For those keeping score at home, that's like 14 Dog Years... or 24 Moons... or 2,202 buffaBLOG Posts (and counting). And so, we're going to be throwing a party at Nietzsche's on Saturday night to celebrate.

Among the bands that will be taking the stage that night is On Beta – a trio of local indie veterans who've all played in bands you've seen before, whether you've seen On Beta yet or not. Their sound is piano-based pop, at turns sweet and moving, and often quite danceable, with skillful songwriting at the core of every song – maybe imagine what would happen if Ryan Adams was joined by the fellas from Loose Fur, though there's a lot more to it than that. The group just released an album, There's Blood In Your Heart, on the Buffalo-based label Harvest Sum (and you can read our review here).
