The Drum Machine Report

Crack that whip. Give the past a slip. Move on to the next one. In Buffalo, there is always a party going on. That’s what we do. Work hard and play harder.

Though I was not in attendance at AOKI and DATSIK, my sources said it was a blast. And to those who discredit particularly AOKI’s DJ skills (including myself) can suck it, because although it is a commercial blast of noise, they’re getting paid! Sometimes people who suck in life, make it in life. Deal with it.

I CAN attest to the Big Bad Wolf being a topic amongst the new venue chatter, even more so than Rendezvous at the Statler. That may change in the next few weeks as Rendezvous will be injected with some popular shows. BBW, although they have a stupid name, and a stupid sign, it actually sounds pretty good in there! Not great, but the big dark dancefloor and sound system give it significant potential.

This weekend kicks off a March that will be intense. Lest we forget how much Buffalo Loves St. Patrick’s Day. It’s on a damn Saturday this year. Not good. Plenty of great shows and events for you to get out there and dance while you’re young. And it all culminates with our very own buffaBLOG Birthday celebration on March 31st at Nietzsche’s which always features a variety of musical genres here in our rusty city. But for now, here’s what you have to look forward to if you’re a lover of Electronic and Dance living in the 716.
