Know Your Opener: Cymbals Eat Guitars

Heading to the Cursive show tonight? Get there early, because you’ll totally want to catch opener Cymbals Eat Guitars. The Staten Island indie rockers released their debut album Why There Are Mountains back in 2009 to rave reviews. After touring with The Pains of Being Pure at Heart and opening a few shows for The Flaming Lips, they signed with Barsuk Records to produce the follow up, Lenses Alien, in August of 2011. Fans of 90’s alt rock like Pavement, Sonic Youth, or, you know, Cursive should check out Cymbals Eat Guitars if they haven’t already.

The show is at Mohawk Place and tickets will be $17 at the door, which opens at 7.
