Tonight Cursive will be playing at Mohawk Place (47 East Mohawk St.) along with support from Cymbals Eat Guitars and Conduits. Omaha, NE’s Cursive is currently on a national tour in support of their seventh full-length release, I Am Gemini. Their latest album is a concept piece about two brothers, Cassius and Pollock separated at birth, struggling to find their soul and identity with a vast array of supporting characters. This is the follow-up to the critically hailed Mama I’m Swollen. The long-time trio of frontman/guitarist Tim Kasher, along with Matt Maginn (bass), and Ted Stevens (guitars, vocals), have been pumping out raw indie rock jams, complete with incredibly honest and emotional (I hate to use that word but it works) lyrics for over a decade. Come out tonight and support one of Saddle Creek’s staples. Tickets are $17 and doors open at 7pm. Now if you’ll excuse me, I am going to go blast The Ugly Organ and play Emo Game to pump myself up for tonight’s show. Exeunt.
