Local Artist Spotlight: HXLY

A single piece of music can produce wonders and this tune has the ability to transcend. It is elevating and soul wrenching in the most positive way. That moment when your mind is exploring unknown territory and there are visions, real or imaginary, of the colors of the sun morphing and melting. It's breathing beauty. It's the moment of elation and understanding that not many have experienced but those that have, can feel the connection that's nearly indescribable.

HXLY, local Buffalo DJ duo comprised of Kyle Tatum and Brian Doyle, have developed greatly with their music production, all the while with undeniable talent. Their productions have transformed from when they were roommates in a Canisius dorm room to their signing with Heavy Artillery Recordings, and I must say this piece truly left me speechless. I have long-awaited for a production from them with this certain sound, and I believe it demonstrates their high caliber. I'm hooked, similar to when they released the preview of their track entitled "Georger's Hayday."

It is wonderfully symphonic and the female serenade is graceful, and that's all I'll leave you with. The rest is for you to enjoy. This is the type of song that needs to be experienced.

It's HXLY's "Taste the Sun" -- but it's only a preview of the track, so enjoy the taste.
