Hey hey hey, are your brains and ear
parts freaks with a penchant for the bizarre, but your body and limb
guys are into feel-good? Because then it is, in fact, time for you to
go to Cinnamon Aluminum's CD release party at the Vault tonight (702
Main St., 9PM, $7). We've previously described this Buffalo trio as
a more schizoid cross between Sugarcubes and Gorillaz –
borderline hypnotic sounds that manage to shatter catatonia in
a Don Van Vliet kinda way, while still remaining quite danceable.
Admission gets you a copy of the new album, We Ate The Wrong Crab
Spirit, along with artwork et ceterra et ceterra. But also, in
addition, you also get to see performances by Wooden Waves, Pamela
Swarts, and Malaria Control, too. If that whole April 20th
thing is your bag, I couldn't think of a better excuse to get off the
couch tonight, but this well-rounded, bonus-packed show is sure to
rain psychosis down on even the levelest of minds - in a good way. Go for it!
