May has always been my favorite month. Not only is it a certain blogger's bday, actually a couple of our birthdays, but Memorial Day weekend has always felt like the official kick off to summer. And after these last couple weeks of a wet and mild spring like temps, warmer temps can't come soon enough. The summer concert series have been coming together over the past couple weeks as both Rock the Harbor and Artpark announced their first shows of the summer. With the complete Thursday concert series lineup from Buffalo Place being released later this month, we can only hope that the thought of a summer of retread bands won't become a reality, but after the first weekend of shows was announced last week, this may be the case Note to promoters, familiarity is not always good. In less than a week, M83 will be playing a sold out show at Town Ballroom, easily the most anticipated show of us bloggers that has come through Buffalo in some time. The hype surrounding this show is something I have not seen in a very long time, so hopefully you were lucky enough to get yourself a ticket. M83 is not the only worthy show this month though so grab your planner and start taking note. As always, if I have missed a notable show, let us know in the comment section.
