Artist Spotlight: Half Day

While exploring the back alleys of the internet, I came across Half Day’s self-titled debut EP Give Up. This four piece’s low-fi, four-song, roughly ten minute, adrenaline fueled EP has been played close to a dozen times on my Itunes since yesterday. The scream-along vocals are grungy and the instrumentals is grabbing, bringing you back to the days of sweaty high school basement shows. Half Day is your favorite pop-punk band, with a touch of Tom Gabel’s vocals meets early instrumental styling of Cloud Nothings. I am expecting great things from this Brooklyn-based foursome. Their EP is free and downloadable right here. Check out their indierific track “Wait Around.”
