It's so great to have the Shins back. Between side projects and new members, that five year hiatus for the New Mexico based band seemed like forever. The band, new members and all, returned this spring with Port of Morrow, one of my favorite albums of the year so far, and earlier this week, the band debuted their new video for stand out track "It's Only Life" via Pitchfork.tv. The video finds a young boy and his dog rather enjoying their strangely deserted town, while Shins front man James Mercer is being dragged to somewhere by one of the creatures on the Port of Morrow album cover. Whether they are planning on eating him or not, things are not looking good for Mercer in the video. Enjoy.
