Later today, we will take that short drive east to Rochester's Highland Bowl to catch Wilco. From alt-country torch bearers to power poppers to experimentalists, the always evolving, highly influential alt rock group have turned into road warriors over the past years, making them one of the top live acts going these days. Once a revolving door for musicians, the now 6 piece is outfit is still running strong with it's most stable lineup in group history as founding members Jeff Tweedy and John Stirratt continue to carry the flag while late comers like guitar hero Nels Cline and multi-instrumentalist Pat Sansone, both joining in 2004, have become firmly entrenched in Wilco lore for nearly a decade. Originally forming in Chicago in 1994, the group is still touring in support of their return to form, Grammy nominated 2011 album The Whole Love, their 8th studio release, the first on their dBpm record label. Opening for Wilco tonight will be the Sonic Youth's Lee Randalo and his band. General admission tickets are still available for $44.50 and can be purchased at this link, or at the door. Show begins at 6:30.

Thanks for the info. Somehow (!), I missed this news.
