After some hard work in the studio, Cosmic Shakedown is releasing their new album Fake American Dream tonight at Mohawk Place (it seems lately, that every show I go to here is a an album release show... lots of good music coming out of Buffalo this summer!).
The sound of Fake American Dream has been described as representing "every divergent thread of Rust Belt Blues" and draws parallels to some of hidden gems of classic rock bands of the 1970s.
The boys have been playing all over Buffalo this summer in preparation for this album release and although they have been heralded for their live sound, I bet they have been saving away a little extra nitro in the back of the tank for tonight's show.
Playing in support of Cosmic Shakedown tonight are The Fairweathers and Slip Madigan.
Doors at 9:30 with a $5 cover
CD's will be $10 but you don't care about that because you're going to pay the extra $5 to get the album on vinyl.
