Young Widows and Coliseum descend upon the checkerboard floors of Soundlab this evening. Both bands hail from Louisville, Kentucky and have made the trek up to our little city via Interstate-71. 

If you like your rock a little noisy then this is the show for you.  Both outfits have an underlying buzz to all their songs that provides a powerful backbone.

Young Widows exhibit just the slightest snarl in their vocals, and they snarl oh so well.  Just enough to give the vocals a refreshing edge without going too far into full on guttural growling territory.

Coliseum features guitars that are, at once, roaring yet reigned in.  In a vein that is not dissimilar to the vocals of Young Widows, Coliseum's guitar work is heavy without pushing it past the limit.

These bands have a fine grasp on their instruments and how to harness the power of them into a thunderous sound while remaining cohesive and without drowning each other out.  For sure to be a good show, be sure to check it out.
