Perhaps the hardest working man in indie rock, Ty Segall makes his way to the Town Ballroom tonight. The San Francisco garage rocker is due for his third release this year with Twins, out via Drag City on October 9th. In a year that has seen him put out an album with White Fence along with the stellar Slaughterhouse, released as Ty Segall Band, the buzz that has surrounded Segall is certainly well deserved. Once considered one of the leaders of the garage rock revival scene of the Bay Area, it is safe to say that the consistent output of the last few years has seen Segall find a sound of his very own that couples catchy pop hooks with an abrasiveness that has been missing in indie music for the last few years. Don’t miss a chance to be reminded that rock music is still very much alive and catch the split bill with fellow San Franciscan’s Thee Oh Sees.
