It's been twelve years since Ben Folds Five toured together, which makes tonight's show at Kleinhans all the more special. Splitting up after their ambitious concept album The Unauthorized Biography of Reinhold Messner, the past decade has seen Ben Folds rise as a solo artist. As with many solo excursions however, a little bit of that edge was missing. After recording three songs for last year's 3 CD Ben Folds Retrospective series, the band decided to tour again and cut a full length album. The result is the wonderful The Sound of the Life of the Mind, cuts from which you can hear tonight at Kleinhans. Doors are at 7pm, tickets are $50 for gold circle seating, the rest are $38. This is a rare chance to see one of the great power trios of our generation. Don't miss it!
