Tonight: Rush

The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice."

Tonight, the legendary prog rock band Rush returns to Buffalo for a long awaited show at the First Niagara Center. It's been more than a few years since the trio from Toronto played Buffalo, too long if you ask local Rush fans considering our area's long history with the band (the cover to their Exit... Stage Left live album even features a Memorial Auditorium crowd of Rush fans).  That said it will be a sweet return, and anticipation is high. Rush fans are also excited by the band's recent naming as Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees as many have felt that their exclusion has been a growing injustice considering their noted musicianship, deep influence, defiant iconoclasm, and enduring popularity in spite of the fact that Rush has NEVER been fashionable. Rush fans anxiously waiting for the Hall of Fame voting results will be out in droves for tonight's show behind the band's most recent album Clockwork Angels (their 19th studio album!), and some tickets are still available. The show starts at 7:30.
