Venice, California psych punk band The Shrine make their way to Mohawk Place tonight to play a set of their fuzz filled, aggressive songs with a classic punk sound. Their LP Primitive Blast is out now on Tee Pee records. Also on the bill tonight is Brooklyn 70's rockers Dirty Fences. The retro rock sound will be on full display tonight. Local band Cosmic Shakedown opens the show with their garage stoner-rock sounds that is sure to fit in with the overall aesthetic of the event. Their debut album, Fake American Dream, is out now and worth checking out for any rock fan. Instrumental rock band Young Suns also open the show with their post-rock sound reminiscent of Mogwai and Explosions In The Sky. Both regional and national up and coming rock acts will be on display tonight in an exciting environment that Mohawk Place always seems to provide. Doors open at 7pm, tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door.
