buffaBLOG Holiday Party Artist Spotlight: Well Worn Boot

For the last few months, Well Worn Boot has been a blight on the side of the Buffalo musical landscape; they're like a rare venereal disease to local venues not unlike the rare strains their own bodies are probably lousy with. I'm worried this isn't coming across like the compliment it's intended to be, sorry. What I mean is that WWB is a raunchy, raunchy group of miscreants who you can't really say anything nice about, because there is nothing nice about them. They bring elements of performance art into their live show - from their fully fleshed personas, to their ridiculous stage antics and use of a lot of phallic props. But the theatrics aren't just a crutch like with so many other shock rock bands. They are solid musicians who blast some excellent rock, and level virtually every place they play.

Well Worn Boot will be playing at our Holiday Party this Saturday at DBGB's, and I'm a little scared because we don't normally get this weird. Check out our interview with frontman/flutist Plainsman here, watch the debauched live tape below, and be sure to catch them at our party this weekend.
