One of indie rock's goofiest characters, Mac DeMarco, recently released an appropriately absurd video for the song "Dreamin" from his well received 2012 album, 2. The video, shot in the suburbs of Quebec, features Mac wandering around in 17th century apparel, guitar in hard, smoking his beloved Viceroy's. Things get significantly stranger when the singer/songwriter sits smiling as green slime and red wine are poured over his head. The gross imagery set to the easy going vibe of the track allows Mac to pull of the charismatic dirtbag surprisingly well, proving that the deranged antics of a suburban slacker can be oddly entertaining.
