Speck Mountain will be playing at the Vault tonight alongside local electronic experimenters Space Cubs and Cinnamon Aluminum. The Chicago natives combine the airy and commanding female vocals of Marie-Claire Balabanian with echoing guitar chords, organ lines, and sturdy drum patterns. Altogether, it's music that leaves the vague impression of having entered some kind of homecoming. Space Cubs will be showering the crowd with dance-ably introspective electronic tunes while Cinnamon Aluminum will be playing other-worldly tunes reminiscent of Animal Collective and Talking Heads.  The event starts at 8:00PM and $5 will get you through the door.
