If you have been to a show in Buffalo the past two months, you had a 60% chance of catching Space Wolves. Buffalo’s surf-rock duo exploded onto the scene in 2013 after releasing, via UT Records, two popular tapes: Space Wolves I and Space Wolves II. Formerly under the moniker Virginia Wolves, singer/guitarist Nick Reynolds and drummer Chris Scamurra started the band initially as a recording project which eventually turned into full-fledged performing act complete with matching outfits and $3 t-shirts. Space Wolves will be DJing tomorrow’s buffaBLOG 3rd Birthday party. The two have quite the unique taste in music, largely focusing on Buffalo’s punk rock scene between 1977-1984. Fans of The New Toys, The Jumpers, and Aunt Helen’s Big Money will not leave disappointed. Word on the street, Scamurra will even be bringing his Foreigner LP. They start at 10pm sharp and will be playing intermittently between acts. $5 at Duke's (253 Allen Street).
