M83 fans looking for any new music from the nostalgia loving synth pop act should keep an eye on the upcoming Tom Cruise mega flick Oblivion.  Frontman Anthony Gonzalez and composer Joseph Trapanese teamed up to score the sci-fi film, and the first piece of music just leaked via Rolling Stone.  Titled "StarWaves," the naturally cinematic piece begins with warm synths, and, because this is an Anthony Gonzalez tune, turns epic and emotional, reminding me a bit of Hurry Up, We're Dreaming's closing number "Outro."  Fans of M83 would expect nothing less.  Listen to the song below.
