Somewhere between Frank Ocean’s vocals and The-Dream’s future shock R&B productions lies Jeremih. After last summer’s Late Night With Jeremih mixtape—featuring would be radio smash “Fuck U All The Time”—he’s back collaborating with beat-maker of the moment Shlohmo. “Bo Peep (Do U Right),” with its glacial bass and radar-love synth hits, builds to a monster climax that feels wide-open and valedictory. It’s the type of song you want soundtracking your next nighttime highway drive. Jeremih calls out “wish somebody woulda seen us” a few times throughout, who doesn’t love a modern love song?
Not always one for this genre of music but I enjoyed this track.
