Listener's Digest: Sufjan Stevens - "Give A Little Love"

Editor's Note:  Over the past few months, our Listener, Mike Torsell, has been giving you a nice weekly recap of his favorite tunes released over the web. We all liked his feature so much that we've decided to stretch it out and make it a daily feature. With so much good music being released at a daily clip this days, we thought we would take some of that pressure off Mike's shoulders and chip in. Hopefully this will allow us to share even more of our favorite tracks, not to mentioned expand on the genres of what we share, moving forward.

You would think that someone with as much music going on in his head as Sufjan Stevens would have more  unreleased tracks see the light of day. Late last week, via his Tumblr, the demo for one of those songs, "Give A Little Love," was shared. The tune, which apparently was intended to be included on his 2010 All Delighted People EP (and it sounds like it would nestle in just perfectly), really isn't anything different from what we have heard from Stevens before: slightly auto-tuned vocals, reach for the sky choruses, and a controlled, jazz like outro. Those triumphant codas that Stevens has nearly trademarked over the years continue to be so sincere and humble that one could only hope a couple more songs from these sessions turn up as well.
