Montreal duo Blue Hawaii are Raph Standell-Preston and Alexander Cowan. The pair's atmospheric pop songs bring together experimental production with feathery vocals to create an ethereal vibe that always manages to feel lush despite its' minimalist composition. Their debut record, Untogether, was released last month on Montreal label Arbutus Records and is the result of many musical ideas coming together in one cohesive form as the two musicians were in separate cities while the album was being recorded.
