Everyone loves 80s new wave nowadays, don’t they? Well, here’s another modern take on that sound. Cold Cave's “God Made The World” offers a new twist on Joy Division’s oft-emulated style, with frontman Wesley Eisold putting forth his best Ian Curtis croon over arena-reverbed drum machines, while synths and guitars grind away to create a tense, claustrophobic atmosphere. The end result is anthemic, with a ready made stadium chant chorus, “God made the world, but I made the sound.” God Made The World” will be released as a 7” single, however no release date has been announced yet.
