Melbourne's World End Press' "Deadbeat Sweetheart" sounds like if Muse ever learned to take their foot off the pedal here and there. With a tense and throbbing krautrockin baseline that leads the song during it's very much under control 7 mins, singer John Parkinson could easily go for theatrics on his vocals. Sounding like some Bends era Thom Yorke, he luckily holds back, letting the atmospheric sounds and spacey harmonies flesh out the track. World's End Press' yet-be-titled debut LP will be released later this year.
