Sound Tribe Sector 9, more commonly known by STS9, is an electronic band that will be performing tonight at Town Ballroom. The band's lineup is comprised by Hunter Brown on guitar and keys, percussionist Jeffree Lerner, David Murphy on bass and synths, David Phipps on keyboards, and Zach Velmer on drums. The first song I ever heard by STS9 was "Golden Gate" - I was hooked on it. The tune is galactic with a very danceable feel. They're an interesting crew and their ability to create such an electronically perfected sound is beautifully done.
